    How ignorant you are about Chinese history! The reality pictures you showed are all in Qing Dynasty(1644-1911), and many Chinese drama's are stories in Han Dynasty (202 BC - 9 AD, 25-220 AD)... Clothes are always changing greatly in China every 100 years. No mention the gaps of 2500 years. Of course they are totally different clothes.

    I have been called that many times over. In a Chinese restaurant, I tend to order what is termed the "bastardised" Chinese food. My late father would complain that I would often pick sweet and sour pork, honey chicken, Mongolian lamb or beef, etc.
